Overview
The Project Manager plays a key role in supporting a technology organization committed to enabling effective learning environments, supporting operational excellence, and providing reliable, integrated information systems. This position contributes to the broader mission by delivering high-quality project experiences for students, staff, faculty, and internal stakeholders.
Position Summary
This is a one-year term Project Manager role responsible for delivering projects assigned from the technology project portfolio. The PM will work within established project management standards, templates, and governance frameworks and will oversee projects through all phases of the project life cycle-from initiation to closeout.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects through complete life cycle phases including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop comprehensive project documentation such as project charters, plans, budgets, schedules, risk registers, communication plans, and status reports using standardized PMO templates.
- Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within approved budgets.
- Facilitate project team meetings, track action items, manage risks and issues, and oversee project dependencies.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, sponsors, vendors, and cross-functional teams to maintain alignment with project objectives.
- Monitor scope, schedule, and costs while applying formal change-control processes when needed.
- Ensure adherence to established governance, quality standards, and PMO requirements throughout the project life cycle.
- Prepare and present status updates, dashboards, and project briefings to leadership and stakeholders.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, training activities, and transition-to-operations in collaboration with change management and support teams.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews, document lessons learned, and complete project closure activities.
- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project management, business administration, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline. Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) are preferred.
- Minimum five years of experience successfully leading and managing technology projects; experience with ERP-scale implementations is a plus.
- Familiarity with PMO environments and understanding of project governance, portfolio processes, and best-practice frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule and within budget using both traditional and agile methodologies.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively, motivating cross-functional teams to achieve project success.
